Philosophical coaching:
Philosophical coaching can be compared to having a personal trainer or athletic coach for your mental muscles. The coaching is based on philosophical history and philosophical methods of inquiry, and it will help you to think clearly, understand the rules for argumentation and logic, learn possible fallacies and errors of reasoning, all while trying to solve abstract or real life problems for yourself.

Not just abstract ideas:
It is one thing to ponder questions, but it is another to integrate your answers into your life. If you would only like to consider life’s questions in the abstract, this is absolutely fine, but Philosopher Coach, LLC can also coach you to make practical use of your answers. In fact, every one of us lives some philosophy even if it is based on our own culture or poorly considered. Philosophy, however, can be applied in very real and tangible ways in our lives. Every branch of knowledge and science, from economics to mathematics to physics to psychology, had its origin in philosophy, and similarly, our day-to-day lives are rooted in philosophy.

Questions:
Questions and problems vary with the individual. What is the good life? What does success mean to me and to the culture in which I find myself? What activities and attitudes lead to fulfillment and satisfaction? What are the right things to do, and why do the right things? The ancient philosophers asked such questions, and we can benefit from their answers and the answers offered by great thinkers through the centuries that followed.

Answers:
We will not tell you what to believe, nor will we specify correct answers. Other people have been pushing their answers at you your whole life, and one of the primary benefits of philosophical coaching is to exercise your own ability as a thinker. Philosophical coaching can be compared to having a personal trainer in that you do the work, but your trainer provides direction and feedback. We might provide historical background and examples and help you understand ideas, concepts, arguments and counterarguments, but you must challenge yourself in order to develop your mental strength.

Personal Coaching:
Philosophical coaching goes at least one step beyond ordinary personal coaching. Ordinary coaching makes assumptions about your wanting to make more money, wanting to be more productive, and so on. Many people that seek philosophical coaching, however, are already well compensated financially, very productive, and successful by most standards. Even more productivity and "success" may follow philosophical coaching, but the primary aim entails thinking more clearly about challenging topics.
